- Heated bed temperature: 55-70°C
- Printing speed: 30-60mm/s
highlights
High gloss and smoother: The surface of the silk PLA has a slight satin gloss, so the printing surface has less laminated streaks and becomes smoother .
Higher toughness : Silk PLA has similar material properties to standard PLA, but is tougher than PLA.
High Quality: No bubbles or dust in the filament, hardly any clogging of the nozzle or extruder, designed to reduce clogging.
Tangle Free : Perfectly wound silk PLA filament, 100% tangle free before opening, neatly coiled, no curling or puckering.
High Compatibility : Universal compatibility with various 99% of the popular FDM 3D printers on the market.
Application and Target Audience
- Beginners and do-it-yourselfers.
- Handicrafts, 3D printing services.
- Groups with high demands on the surface finish of the prints.

FAQ
1. Q: Why my silk filament printed object has no glossy surface?
A: You need to make sure the printing temperature is well matched with the printing speed. You need to set the printing temperature to 200-220℃.
2. Q: I couldn't print small models with silk PLA. Why?
A: Silk PLA has silk texture, smooth surface and strong toughness, which is not suitable for printing high-precision or small models.
3. Q: Why is my filament getting tangled? How can I solve the problem?
A: Filament knotting is not caused by disordered or imperfect winding. According to the production technology of the filament, the filament is wound back and forth (left to right and then right to left). Usually there is no knotting of the thread. A common cause of tangles is that the end of the filament is not secured in the holes of the spool. The knotting by overlapping or the changed winding direction leads to a knotting of the filament. Therefore, customers need to attach the thread end to the correct holes of the bobbin.
4.Q: Can PLA be used for tableware printing?
A: Not recommended. Although PLA is a degradable, food-safe raw material, the PLA with toughener is not food-safe. If you really want to print a tableware, you should use transparent PLA.
5. Q: The nozzle is clogged with PLA, how can I solve the problem?
A: An inconstant filament diameter, the lower nozzle temperature and the frequent exchange with different filaments lead to this problem. So before you get started, clean the nozzle and set the temperature to a reasonable level.
6.Q: My prints have stringing problems. How can I fix the problem?
A: Too high a temperature will cause the PLA filament to melt and flow so quickly. Please turn the temperature down to an appropriate level.
The retract parameters are incorrect, so adjust the retract length and speed.
7. Q: There are too many melted threads around the nozzle. What should I do?
A: This problem can be caused by too high temperature, too low print speed, and the nozzle diameter mismatch with the extrusion output in the slice software.
8.Q: The PLA filament was perfect when I opened the package. After printing intermittently several times, my PLA filament accidentally breaks during printing. Why is that?
A: PLA filament does not normally break by itself during the printing process. However, being a degradable material, moisture makes PLA brittle and breaks more easily, so you should pay attention to moisture protection.
9.Q: The surface of my print is not very smooth. Why is that?
A: The printing temperature is too high or too low. The temperature does not match the print speed. You need to adjust the print speed or temperature.
10.Q: Why are my PLA printed objects not sticking to the heatbed? How can I solve the problem?
A: The distance between the nozzle and the bed is too big. Make sure your heatbed is level and clean. Then judge whether the printing temperature and heatbed temperature are too low, and our customers should adjust them to the right range.
